Welcome to Badersfield
Badersfield is one of Norfolk's newest communities and Badersfield Community Church is our Fresh Expression of Church at the heart of our growing community.
Badersfield is seeking to bring Church and Community together in new and creative ways. So Sunday worship is not as central as in the other Team Churches. Instead at the heart of our mission is reaching out in to our community and guiding people home. So our vision is all about hospitality, welcome, friendship, and community.
The Badersfield community is predominantly young families, who either own or rent houses which are well built, and have been available at very competitive prices, as starter homes following the closure of the RAF station. Badersfield is very well situated as an attractive rural setting within easy reach of Norwich, North Walsham, and Aylsham and the north Norfolk coast to be an attractive proposition for all types of people. St Edward’s offers a welcoming space at the heart of the community, alongside the pub The Diplomat, the Battle of Britain Hall and the shop and Hair salon.
We are passionate about making significant connections with our community. We have the advantage of having a modern building which provides excellent catering and toilet facilities, and a wide range of quality toys. These enable us to provide
Weekly ‘Tinies to Tots’ church-led Group on Mondays and Tuesdays run by volunteer helpers
Weekly ’Slice of Life’ Café for local community members, with special bi-monthly charity events
Monthly ‘Lunch Club’ which developed as part of our recently funded Community Food Project
Monthly ‘Messy Church’ for local school aged children and their families
Weekly Sure Start music, a church supported Breast Feeding Support Group, and a monthly Baby Clinic.
Ecumenical Weekly Ladies and Men’s Groups (they meet in the pub!). They are open to anyone.
Weekly Intercessors Prayer Group and weekly Prayer and Worship
We are a small church family with open hearts. We are developing many significant relationships. We are excited about developing a sense of our unique identity as a church in the community for the community.
