We’re pleased to announce our popular and FREE Autumn Talks are back again this year on Wednesday throughout October 7.30pm at Aylsham Parish Church.
Organised in memory of The Revd John Pumphrey who was a much-loved clergyman in Aylsham who has an eclectic array of interested, a passion for community, and a deep faith. Our talks reflect his eclectic nature covering a wide variety of subjects.
Wednesday 4th October, 7.30pm - Pets in Heaven?
Revd Andrew North from Mulbarton, explores the question ‘Will dogs chase cat in heaven?’ a journey into the place of animals in heaven.
Wednesday 10th October, 7.30pm - Medical Ethics
Canon Robin Hewetson has a vast experience of medical
ethics as a former chair of the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital Medical Ethics Committee.
Wednesday 18th October - Mindfulness
Revd Marc Palmer from St Mary Magdalen is a practical theologian and expert in reflective practice, he explores where mindfulness and spirituality meet.
Wednesday 25th October – Inclusiveness
Canon Andy Bryant from Norwich Cathedral explores what ’Radical Inclusiveness’ means for us as individuals, community and as a Church.
Revd Canon Andrew Beane, Team Rector of Aylsham said "Our Autumn Talks of course, offer the chance for people to engage with faith, spiritually and theology but they also look at subjects that help us think about how the church engages with community and the wider world. The talks are free and open to all. They last for around an hour followed by refreshments.
